Author: Two men have been sentenced to federal prison.
George Michael Lee and Tien Duc Vu along with colleagues got sentenced in court for running their casino cheating ring where they bribed moving casino workers for the most part to throw blackjack and baccarat games in their favor.
They also got Seattle’s Mayor’s, Greg Nickels, son into the scheme as he was a pit boss in a casino where these men bribed him to let them win.
Lee was given the most time at 3 years, whereas Vu only got 1 year. They both must pay back over 2.2 million dollars each and they must forfeit their other money – up to 730,000 dollars.
There were at least a dozen people involved in the scheme, which took place in Washington, Mississippi, Arizona, Louisiana, Ontario, California, Connecticut, and Indiana.
The Mayor’s son, Jacob Nickels, was charged with conspiracy to steal from tribal casinos and was given 3 months.

Today in Auburn, Washington two men were arrested for cruelty to an animal. They allegedly tied a bull to the back of their 1989 Buick Century by the neck and then dragged it down the road for almost a half mile. Witnesses of this beastly crime called 911 immediately to stop the crime in it’s tracks.
Sgt. John Urquhart has said that deputies stopped the car to stop the carnage from continuing. The bull was on it’s stomach with its legs stretched in each direction. There were trails of blood following the route that the car took from open wounds on the animals legs.
The driver, 75, and passenger, 57, attempted to explain themselves by saying that the cow was stubborn and required this kind of treatment to be moved. They said that this was how they always moved him from one pasture to the next.
“He is stubborn.”
The bull is now safe with State Animal Response who will treat the wounds and allow the animal to heal fully.
Both men are in King County Jail for a futher Investigation of Animal Cruelty in the 1st Degree.
